VELVET CODE
Velvet Code is an internationally acclaimed Canadian electronic music producer, DJ, songwriter, and recording artist whose career has established him as one of the leading tastemakers in soulful and vocal house music. Blending infectious grooves with emotional songwriting, his productions seamlessly cross the worlds of house, dance, and pop while remaining rooted in the timeless spirit of the underground.
His work has earned recognition from some of the music industry’s most respected charts, including Billboard and Music Week dance charts, cementing his reputation as a producer with both artistic credibility and commercial appeal. As a member of Lady Gaga’s official remix team during the Chromatica campaign, Velvet Code joined an elite group of producers entrusted with reimagining music from one of the world’s biggest pop icons.
Throughout his career, Velvet Code has collaborated with acclaimed vocalists and performers from around the globe and produced music for winners and finalists from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Canada’s Drag Race, and Queen of the Universe. Away from the booth, Velvet Code is the founder of So Fierce Music, an independent record label and artist development company in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment, committed to championing emerging talent and amplifying diverse voices. Through the label, he has helped develop and produce music for award-winning artists while building opportunities for the LGBTQ2S+ community through mentorship, collaboration, and creative entrepreneurship.
